This gorgeous majestic plant can reach heights of 3m. Besides their good looks these will give you abundant sunflower seeds to snack on fresh, or roasted with a splash of salt. For balcony gardens, plant in a pot 45cm in depth & diameter, or larger.

Growing Tips:

For best results, germinate your seeds in seed trays filled with a good organic seedling mix, Keep them warm and moist and transplant them in rich organic soil when they are 5-7cm high. For a direct sow: Plant in a well prepared bed, rich in organic compost.
When watering aim for the roots and mulch around the plant to keep the soil moist and protected.
