Carrot - Nantes
Delivery from:
Carrot Variety: Nantes
The well loved carrot that has a nearly perfect cylindrical root with a deep orange colour, and sweet and mild flavour. The leafy fronds are lovely added to salads. For balcony gardens plant in a pot of 40cm in depth and diameter or larger.
Growing Tips:
For best results, sow carrot seed in situ (directly into the ground or pot) as they do not like to be transplanted. Sow sparingly in drills in well-draining soil free of stones and large clods of earth. Cover with a thin layer of soil and water with a fine rose spray to avoid dislodging the seed. Once your seedlings are 4cm tall, you can start to thin them out to 7cm apart.
