Unfortunately seedling trays are generally not recommended for starting them. Plastic trays tend to retain heat, which can cause the corms to dry out or deteriorate, while the shallow depth also limits proper root development.
For best results, we recommend planting directly into deeper pots or well-prepared garden beds in cool conditions, where the roots have enough space to establish properly. Mulching is vital as it helps regulate the soil temperature. We recommend doing so with compost.
